For the months of November and December of 2022, our selected charity is Three Square. A food bank who's mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursing a hungry free community. Three Square has a Charity Navigator rating of 4 out of 4 stars. Our Pledge:
10% of Profits to Charity
Each month 10% of profits from that months sales will be donated to charity.
The selected charity will vary over time and we'll put out an update when the charity changes with a small explanation of their mission along with a link to their website and Charity Navigator rating.
How are the donations calculated?
When calculating the cost of making each product I only include raw materials plus operating expenses, I do not include my own labor, meaning I'm donating 10% of my income from Wood Bee Sew Nice. Some operating expenses include operating fees, website, marketing, equipment costs, these are taken off of sales to give that months profit.
To ensure there is always a charity donation, only 30% of the sale is dedicated to Operating Expenses until the Expenses are paid in full.
